Returns Policy

We know what our customers want and know what makes them comfortable. It is important that you feel confident when making a purchase that you will be taken care of after the purchase in case you are having doubts, or in very rare cases something went wrong with your order.

When you purchase any product from Sewing Center of Tampa Bay, LLC you are entitled to its manufacturer's warranty against defective merchandise. This warranty does not obligate Sewing Center of Tampa Bay to bear the cost of labor or transportation in connection with the replacement or repair of defective parts, nor shall it apply to any product upon which repairs or alterations have been made, unless authorized by the manufacturer. Household sewing machines are not intended for commercial use. Any commercial use of a home sewing machine will void all warranties and the Return Policy.

To return an item for any reason, just contact us via phone or e-mail info@sewingcentertb.com and explain to us why you wish to return the item. We will issue a Return Authorization Number (RA#), along with instructions on returning your purchase. Please do not try to return an item without an RA#; as different products must be returned to different locations. Customer is responsible for return shipping costs. RA#'s expire in 15 days after they are issued and cannot be extended or re-issued.

Save your box and all packaging materials until you are certain that your merchandise and all accessories are in satisfactory condition.

The Return Policy applies to all items on this website except the following non-returnable items:

  • Items without original factory packaging
  • All sewing cabinets, cutting tables, cabinets inserts, and quilting table extensions
  • Any software and all opened designs
  • Books and Instructional manuals
  • Accessories (unless unopened)
  • Needles
  • Repair parts including bobbin cases, needle plates, and foot controls.

Closed packages: 

Before opening each product, please check its packaging and label carefully to be sure you received the correct product and version. If the supplier's original packaging and the seal are still intact, you may return the product to us within ten days from purchase for an exchange, merchandise credit or refund.

You must include a copy of the original invoice with the RA# inside your return package.

 

Open Packages:

Opened Merchandise may be returned in its original factory carton (undamaged unit, Styrofoam, warranty card, instruction manual and all included accessories).

You may return the product to us within ten days from purchase for an exchange, merchandise credit or refund subject to a 25% restocking fee. If the product is damaged, parts, components or accessories are missing, the cost will be deducted from the refund. You must include a copy of the original invoice with the RA# inside your return package.

 

Defective Returns:

If your product is not functioning properly, please contact us as soon as possible (but not later than 30 days from purchase). In most instances, our Support representatives can assist you in diagnosing and resolving your product problems. However, in rare instances, a product is defective. In such case, we will replace the product with an even exchange of the same item, subject to in-stock availability and manufacturer warranty. Replacement items normally ship within one week after the defective item is received in our warehouse and inspected by our Returns Department. All merchandise returned to us must be accompanied by a valid RA# issued by us within 30 days of your original invoice date. After 30 days from purchase, we can no longer issue an RA# and will refer you to the manufacturer for warranty service. All returned merchandise must be 100% complete in original packaging and resalable condition, with all packaging, product, manuals, blank warranty card and other accessories and documentation included. You must include a copy of the original invoice with the RA# inside your return package. Incomplete or unauthorized returns will be refused.

 

PRICES

All prices are F.O.B. our warehouse. All taxes extra where applicable. Prices are subject to change without notice. All shipments will be invoiced at prices in effect on date shipment is made. All orders accepted subject to credit approval.

 

CLAIMS

All goods shall be deemed delivered to the purchaser at the time they are placed in the hands of the carrier and consigned to the purchaser. Loss, damage or destruction of any said merchandise is assumed by the purchaser. No claims may be made for shortages unless made within 48 hours from receipt of merchandise.

 

Sewing Center of Tampa Bay shall in no event be liable for consequential damages or contingent liabilities arising out of the failure of any product, its power unit or its accessories to operate properly. No express, implied or statutory warranty other than herein set forth is made or authorized to be made by the manufacturer.
