Serged Sewing Machine Cover (Serger Club - Mar)

Would you like to have a fun, decorative cover for your machine when it’s not in use? Learn how to make a colorful machine cover, using only your serger, and get to know how versatile a serger can be!

Supplies needed:

  • 4 or 8 Thread Serger

  • 3/4” Belt loop binder (for Babylock machines only)

  • Serger threads

  • Scissors

  • Pins or Wonder Clips

  • Rotary cutter w/ cutting mat

  • Sewing (seam) gauge

  • Measurements of the machine you’re making the cover for...

Measurement 1 - Widest part of the machine

Measurement 2 - Tallest part of the machine

  • (1) yard cotton fabric (main fabric for the cover)

  • (1) yard cotton fabric (for the backing/lining of the cover - can be the same or different as the main fabric)

  • (1/2) yard cotton (contrasting for the pockets and ties)

  • (1) yard medium weight interfacing
