Chenille Quilting- Hot Pads

Learn to do chenille quilting with this quick and easy hot pad project.  Chenille quilting can be used to make fuzzy, soft baby quilts or throw blankets and this class will introduce you to the technique on a smaller scale.


9" square cotton batting
9" square Insul-Bright
9" square Ironing Board fabric

6- 9" squares cotton or flannel  (stacking a motif or design from the fabric gives this project a fun 3D effect)
2.5" x WOF cotton or flannel for binding

Sewing machine and related accessories
machine needles size 90/14
walking foot if you have it
pin cushion
or Wonder Clips
thread snips
fabric shears
rotary cutter
12" quilting ruler
chenille cutter if you have one (also available for purchase at the Sewing Center)
hand sewing needle
